Parish Table Talk

• Reminder – Ecumenical and Interfaith Prayer Service with Archbishop Lori: A friendly reminder about the Archbishop’s Ecumenical and Interfaith Prayer Service honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr on this Thursday, April 12th. Please consider supporting the Archbishop in this initiative. There’s still an opportunity to join the Gospel Choir for the event; please see this flyer for more details. This opportunity is open to anyone who is interested in being part of this event honoring our Archdiocese’s commitment to upholding the dignity of every human being and addressing the sin of racism. No experience singing Gospel music is required, just an open and willing heart.

Why ChristLife? ChristLife, a Baltimore-based evangelization apostolate, has released a new video that shares how the ChristLife evangelization process – Discovering Christ, Following Christ, and Sharing Christ courses – is helping people to encounter Christ, return to the sacraments, and become missionary disciples in the Archdiocese of Baltimore and beyond. Features Archbishop Lori, Dave Nodar, Fr. Erik Arnold and other priests and laity from around the country who are using the ChristLife evangelization process to evangelize.

• Word on Fire Community: Bishop Robert Barron’s apostolate, Word on Fire, has just started a community for people interested in discussing topics having to do with evangelization. It is a Facebook group that you can join where there will be: daily discussions about evangelization and culture, updates about the Word on Fire Movement, exclusive content from Bishop Barron and the Word on Fire team, and special PDFs and ebooks. Click here to join this online community.

• Project Rachel Baltimore: Project Rachel Baltimore is an Archdiocesan ministry for women and men who have had an abortion experience and who are seeking spiritual and emotional healing. It is a confidential ministry that offers counseling referrals, spiritual support, peer-to-peer ministry, and one-day and weekend retreats. Project Rachel Baltimore will be hosting a one-day retreat for women on April 28th from 9am-5pm in the Baltimore area. If anyone in your parish communities or who you serve is seeking healing after an abortion experience, please invite them to call or text 410-625-8491 or email projectrachel@archbalt.org. Please consider advertising this retreat and Project Rachel ministry in general in parish bulletins, website, and on social media (Facebook page). Here are flyers for the upcoming retreats (Women/Men).
