Mission Matters: July 19, 2016
World Youth Day Pilgrimage Special Edition, plus this Thursday’s blog post.
World Youth Day:
Pilgrimage: 40 pilgrims from our Archdiocese (including Fr. Matt Buening and seminarians Tyler Kline and Matt Himes) will leave on Thursday for this epic event in Poland. If you are unable to join them, you can still join in spirit by praying with them using this booklet. You can keep connected with them through Craig Gould and the Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministry and through social media.
The Catholic Review will also be travelling to Poland and you can follow their World Youth Day Catholic Review blog Other groups joining the Archdiocesan contingent include St. Mary’s Annapolis, St. Mark’s, Fallston and Mt. de Sales Academy.
30 Days on the Way: There are some preparatory videos for the pilgrimage that you can use in your parish.
Krakow in the Capital: Unable to make it to Poland? Then consider joining the local World Youth Day for Young Adults on July 30th in Washington, DC. Featured speakers include Fr. James Martin, SJ, musician Marie Miller, Cardinal Wuerl and our own Bishop Madden.
Watch for this Thursday’s Post:
The Sound of Silence by Julie St. Croix, Coordinator of Pastoral Leadership Formation.
