Parish Table Talk

•  In Memoriam: We join with those throughout the Archdiocese and in the national youth ministry community to mourn the death of Brian Johnson, a Baltimore native who had been serving the Church in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Bob McCarty shared this memory of his life and service. Funeral arrangements for Brian are: Saturday, July 1, 2017 at St. Matthews Catholic Church (5401 Loch Raven Blvd, Baltimore, MD 21239). Wake: 9:00 a.m., Mass: 10:00 a.m., Burial: Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens after Mass. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

•  United in prayer for Convocation: The Convocation of Catholic Leaders: The Joy of the Gospel in America will assemble Catholic leaders for a strategic conversation, under the leadership of the bishops, on forming missionary disciples to animate the Church and to engage the culture. As several Catholic leaders from the Archdiocese of Baltimore participate in these conversations and presentations taking place July 1-4 in Orlando, we join in prayer that this convocation will bear fruit throughout our archdiocese, in each of our parishes.

•  Fortnight for Freedom continues through this week: The annual Fortnight for Freedom continues this week through to July 4th. The closing Mass will take place on Monday, July 3rd during the Convocation for Catholic Leaders in Orlando, with Archbishop Lori presiding. We pray this week for the protection of religious liberty in our country and abroad.
