Parish Table Talk

• Office of Divine Worship – Important Dates: The Office of Divine Worship would like to inform you of important dates coming up.  Adult Confirmation will take place on May 20, 2018 at 3pm at Cathedral Mary Our Queen. Then, on May 26th, the Diaconal Ordination will take place at the Basilica of the Assumption starting at 10am. There will be a workshop on the third edition of the Roman Missal in Spanish for the United States of America  (ENGLISH FLYER/SPANISH FLYER) on June 11th at St. Louis in Clarksville. Finally, the Presbyteral Ordination will take place at 10am on June 23rd at Cathedral Mary Our Queen.

• Pontifical High Mass in the Extraordinary Form in DC: On April 28th, a Pontifical High Mass in the Extraordinary Form was celebrated at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception by Archbishop Alexander Sample of Portland. It was the first time in 10 years that such a Mass was celebrated there. Abp. Sample gave a homily to the nearly 3000 people in attendance about the impact of Pope Benedict XVI’s Motu Propio, Summorum Pontificum, which gave greater permission for the use of the Extraordinary Form throughout the Church, on his own liturgical celebration and usage. Check out his homily here. And see this video to watch the entire Mass with commentary.
